This special exhibit is a collaboration of several local and out-of-state artists celebrating the life of Henrietta Lacks, the mother of modern day medicine. Henrietta Lacks's cells were among dozens sent to labs for testing, but hers were the first to survive and grow. Her cells, a unique and aggressive type, were later described as one in a billion. Come and see the cells that changed modern medicine.
