Free legal clinic for persons of low-to-moderate income with Bar Association lawyers.  Get help with most areas of civil law, including landlord-tenant problems, divorce, and family law.  Appointments for a 30-minute, one-time consultation. You may make one appointment during a six-month period.

This clinic takes place at the Portage Community Center at 325 E. Centre St.  Call the Law Library at 269-553-7920 for an appointment.

Creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQ Youth
Your organization can ensure a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, and queer (LGBTQ) youth with specific policies, practices, and well-trained staff. Join us to learn through lecture, interactive learning, and group activities, how we can all be more inclusive and supportive advocates for LGBTQ youth.

In this workshop participants will:
  • Gain familiarity with national and state data that illustrate barriers LGBTQ youth face and overcome
  • Learn steps to interrupt bias and bullying language
  • Complete a personal ally action plan

Target audience includes nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members, or anyone interested in allyship to LGBTQ youth

Presented by staff members from the Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center
