Event Details

We know that more than half of the individuals in our communities have survived at least one adverse childhood experience. Understanding trauma and toxic stress is an essential first step in meeting the needs of the children we serve. Together in this workshop we will build a common language for understanding trauma and toxic stress; explore the impact such exposure can have on the brain, body, relationships and behavior; and start the conversation about how to understand our students through a ‘trauma lens.’ This training is especially for those working with school-age children and youth.
